Door County Pages Help Guide

Create a new account:
- On the Advertise With Us Page, click on either the Listings Options, Event Options, Banner Options, Products & Services Options or the Article Options tab. 
- Scroll down to the option you want and click the Order Now! button.
- If you are a new user, keep the "I'm a new user" selected. If you already have an account, select the "I have an existing account".
- If ordering a Listing Option, select a package with a Listing Template from the drop down list. Or keep the default template selected. Note: The listing templates are customized templates made to suit select categories. The Premium Templates are customized with extra colors so your ad stands out from the rest.
- Supply your Account Information in the blanks provided.  Create a user name with password and keep this information for future reference. You will need it to log into your member interface later.  Note: This website is on a secured server and all personal information is encrypted and never shared with anyone. Notice on the ordering page, the https:// in your browser address bar (the "s" after the http, stands for secured) and the gold lock (located after your browser's address bar), is also a sign of a secured site. You must read and agree with the terms of use and check the box in order to use and/or advertise on this site.
- Supply your listing information with Ttile. The title will be the name of your business. Include a promotional code, if you were given one by a DoorCountyPages representative.
- Select a category pertaining to your business or what category you would like your business to be listed under. You may purchase additional categories if you wish to target more customers. Click once on the category or sub-category to expand the list and then click Add to select the category. Do this until all your categories that you want are listed in the box shown below the listing categories. You may view each category path by clicking on one category in the box and click View Category Path. To remove a category, click on one category in the box and click Remove Selected Category. 
- Supply your Billing Informaiton. A second address is optional or use this for apartment numbers or additional information.
- Click how you want to pay for your advertisement by either Credit Card or PayPal. Personal checks, cash or mailed payments will not be accepted.
 
Create your ad:
Supply your business information with name, email address, and the URL (starting with www.) of your business website. The display URL is what wording you want the website link to display. If you do not have any ot the information, leave it blank, you may return to it by logging into your member interface and fill it in at any time. Supply your phone number with area code first (example: 555-444-3333) and fax number in the same manner.
- Supply your Location with the main location first and any other locations if you have them. Select your Town and Zipcode from the drop down box.
- The Friendly URL page name will automatically fill in, but if it does not, take the mouse and click once inside the Business Name box located at the top of the page. It should then fill in automatically.
- Supply your digital image (photo) from your hard drive files. The image you download from your files will be automatically resized to fit into your ad. This is if you have taken pictures of your business with a digital camera and downloaded the pictures into a file that you saved on your hard drive. You can send us digital pictures, photos, logos or images via email to add to your listing, but, you will have to email us first at info@doorcountypages.com to get permission to do so because extra fees may apply. All images you send will be the property of DoorCountyPages.com, so always make a copy of the original. If you only have paper images or photos, you can send them to us and we'll scan them for you to place on your listing for an extra fee. Anything mailed to us will be the property of DoorCountyPages.com and will not re returned.  Email for all inquiries first.
On ads where a Video Snippet is allowed, place it's code in the box. It will be automatically resized to fit your ad.
- If you have an additional file that you want to attach to your ad, like a menu, supply the file code (from your hard drive) for it in the box. It requires a pdf, doc, txt, jpg or gif extension. You amy have us create and supply an extra file for you at an extra fee. Email us with details and prices. Supply a caption for your file of what you want it to say underneath.
- Supply your summary description of your business (which shows up on your summary veiw), a description (which shows up on your detail view) and the keywords you would like to use. Keywords are important for search engine ranking so your listing can be found easier when customers use the search engines.
- Supply your hours of work, which is when you are open for business.  Supply the locations of your business.
- If using a customized template, supply the rest of your business information according to the template you've selected.
- If not done so already,select a category pertaining to your business or what category you would like your business to be listed under. You may purchase additional categories if you wish to target more customers. Click once on the category or sub-category to expand the list and then click Add to select the category. Do this until all your categories that you want are listed in the box shown below the listing categories. You may view each category path by clicking on one category in the box and click View Category Path. To remove a category, click on one category in the box and click Remove Selected Category. 
- Supply any listing designations you desire to be displayed on your ad. You may select up to four of the list shown and may change them at any time by logging into your membership interface.
- Supply a promotional code, if not dons so already, and submit. Click on submit button only once and wait for the next page. It may take a few minutes to upload all your information and may depend on the speed of your internet service. You will see a page that says "Listing successfully updated!" This is your new membership interface (or member panel).  If you do not successfully create an account or add a listing, we are here to help, please email us at info@doorcountypages.com to inquire or ask questions. Your listing will not take effect until the site manager has approved it first. This may take up to 48 hours. If, for some reason, your listing does not show up on doorcountypages.com where it should, contact us immediately at info@doorcountypages.com. We do our best to serve you and your business and we take pride in our site, so we would like to hear any comments from you pertaining to our site or membership interfaces. We will be happy to help!
 
Your membership interface:
- Click the red Manage Account to change any of your personal information or password. Click the red Help button to email us with questions. Click on the red Logout button to logout of your membership interface. Click on the red Home button (on top of page) to display your member section. This is where you will manage your ads, upgrade your ads, change your ads and add an ad. You may also make a payment or check your transaction history from your member section. Now, in the Listings box, click the Manage Listings to veiw your Member Options list, where you can also manage your ads, upgrade your ads, change your ads and add an ad. Your Manage Listings list is where you can edit each individual listing. 
- To add a listing, click on "Listings" from the Member Options list. Then click on "Add Listing" and the page to Select listing level will display. Continue and go through each step to add an additional listing until completion. After completion, your membership interface will display and you will see your new listing shown in it.
- To edit your listing, click on "Manage Listings" from the Members Options list. A list of listing will display. Click once on the Listing Title (business name) and the Listing Detail will display for that listing. You may then click on the accordingly link to Edit Listing Information, Edit Listing Level, Add a Photo Gallery, Add a Promotion or configure Map Tuning for your ad.
- Before adding a photo gallery to a listing, you must create a photo gallery. Click on Galleries from the Members Options list. Then click Add Gallery and the Gallery Information will display. Fill out the Gallery Title with the name of your business. This gallery will be referred to as the name you choose. Click next and click Add Image to upload an image, photo or logo from your local hard drive. Supply a caption name for your image thumbnail and a caption for your photo gallerry slideshow images. Click submit and wait, it may take a few minutes as the software automatically resizes your images to fit into your ad.
- To add a photo gallery to a listing, select Listings/Manage Listings from the Member Options list. Click on the listing business name that you want to add the photo gallery to. Click on Photo Gallery and place a checkmark by the gallery that you want to associate with your listing. Click submit. You can also Edit Gallery Information, Manage Images, Delete Gallery or Preveiw a Gallery from the Gallery Detail list.
- To add an Event, a Product & Service, an Article or a Promotion, repeat the steps for adding a Listing, but, some of the content and information you supply may vary. Repeat the steps for adding a gallery to your Listing to adding a gallery to your Events, Products & Services and the Articles pages. But, note that each ad allows for a set amount of images that are shown in your ad gallery. Uploading more images does not mean that they will all be shown in your ad.
 
To Suggest a Category:
If you prefer to place your ad in a different category that is not shown in our category list, you may email us at info@doorcountypages.com with your category suggestion. Upon our approval, we will then add the category for you!

If you are experiencing difficulties or need help reguarding the use of our site, registering or your membership interface, please contact us at info@doorcountypages.com and we will respond within 3 business days. Also, please email us if you spot any bugs, broken links, incorrect information or inappropriate material on our site and we will fix or remove it immediately.  We want to keep our site pleasant and easy to use for our customers, so we appreciate it if you have feedback and suggestions!  If you are having difficulties creating your ad, even after refering to our instructions, we will initially create your ad for you so as to get your ad up and running fast.  We will then guide you via email, or choose to do the work for you, until you are confortable with the interface. Ultimately, the interface was created in a way so you can create, update and edit your account and ad information at any time. After saving, changes take place in real time and the interface updates your information  immediately. We offer a full refund if you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of creating your account. But, note that once a refund is requested, your account will be permanently deleted and any future memberships will be denied. Although, we are located near in Green Bay, WI we are handling all inquiries via email.  We know your business is important to you and your businesss is important to us!  Thank you for choosing DoorCountyPages to advertise your business!
